We’re looking for a motivated Commercial Account Handler to join the Jensten Group.
The role is based at our Watnall office with a hybrid working model.
You will report to the General Manager and focus on the Commercial Insurance book of business composed of ‘wheel based’ clients, primarily on renewal work.
Responsibilities
- Understand clients’ business operations, opportunities, and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance.
- Offer and present insurance solutions, including policies and other risk‑management solutions, to secure renewal and/or new business.
- Assist in team performance by regular communication with colleagues and manager to identify concerns and provide solutions.
- Negotiate competitive terms with product/service providers to satisfy client requirements.
- Handle invoicing of all premiums due, including effective credit control where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer‑service standards, and external compliance regulations, e. g. FCA.
About You
- Excellent communication and written skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good general insurance background and knowledge – Commercial Insurance (essential).
- Relevant qualifications (e. g. Cert CII) or working towards them.
- Great customer‑service skills.
- Excellent telephone manner, able to network & build working relationships easily.
- Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance.
- Experience in a similar role, working with insurers and clients.
- Ability to use initiative and multi‑task, updating relevant systems and admin.
- Acturis system knowledge and experience (ideally).
