Offered on a Hybrid working arrangement, reporting into our Huntingdon Office, we are seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join our finance team to provide maternity leave cover during a critical period on a 6 month FTC. This role will focus on delivering accurate and timely management accounts, supporting audit deliverables, and ensuring robust financial controls. The successful candidate will work closely with senior finance leadership and operational teams to provide insight and maintain financial integrity throughout the cover period.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
- Complete key month‑end tasks including prepayments, accruals, depreciation and amortisation
- Assist with audit deliverables and liaise with the auditors to ensure all queries are dealt with promptly
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring data integrity
- Assist with year‑end as required
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision‑making
- Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and relevant standards
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior leadership

- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and management accounting principles
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis)
- Experience in producing monthly management accounts
- Ability to manage accruals, prepayments and other balance sheet reconciliations
