We’re looking for a HR Operation Lead to join our busy People Operations Team, based in Huntingdon. The Role
We are looking for an experienced HR Operations Lead to take ownership of the end‑to‑end delivery, optimisation and governance of HR Operations across the employee lifecycle. This is a pivotal role within our People & Culture function, responsible for ensuring a high‑quality, compliant and efficient HR operation that supports our people, leaders and ongoing growth agenda. You will lead the HR Operations team, own our HR systems landscape, and work closely with stakeholders across People & Culture, Payroll, Benefits and Learning to continuously improve how we deliver HR services across the Group.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end‑to‑end HR Operations across onboarding, employee changes, performance cycles and offboarding
- Lead operational delivery for complex employee lifecycle activity, including M&A, early careers and senior hires
- Act as system owner and subject matter expert for HiBob (HRIS) and Skillcast (LMS)
- Line manage and develop the HR Operations team, including the HR Operations Co‑ordinator, HR Operations Administrator and L&D Co‑ordinator
- Build a high‑performing, service‑focused team culture with clear accountability and continuous improvement
- Oversee learning administration and compliance training delivery through the LMS
- Own and manage the HR Operations service and ticketing system
- Ensure timely, accurate and customer‑focused responses to employee and manager queries
- Deliver HR Operations reporting and insights to support decision‑making and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with Payroll, Benefits, HR Business Partners and the wider People & Culture team
- Proactively engage senior stakeholders, providing updates, managing risk and recommending improvements
About You
You will be an experienced HR Operations professional who is confident operating in a growing, multi‑site organisation. You will bring:
- Strong end‑to‑end HR Operations expertise
- Proven experience owning and optimising HR systems (HRIS & LMS)
- CIPD qualified or working towards
- A solid understanding of HR compliance, data protection and audit requirements
- Experience leading and developing an HR Operations team
- A structured, process‑driven mindset with a focus on service excellence
- The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and influence improvement
You are organised, pragmatic and calm under pressure, with a genuine commitment to delivering a high‑quality employee experience.
