The role involves working as a motivated and driven Account Handler in our Hastings office (with hybrid working options once settled into the role), joining Chris Knott, part of the Jensten Group. The main aim is to work with existing customers, providing excellent customer service and retaining their business, contacting them at the relevant time and making any adjustments to their policies throughout the year as necessary. You will also maximise opportunities with existing customers, as well as following up on new business leads and referrals.

Some key objectives and responsibilities will include:

  • Working within the Customer Service team with the aim of retention/renewals and maximising sales.
  • Responsible for delivering great customer service and administering insurance policies.
  • Responsible for hitting and exceeding realistic targets.
  • Strong customer service skills, communicating clearly and building relationships.
  • Working in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
  • Ensuring that all work is FCA compliant and providing the highest level of customer service to potential and existing clients.

As one of our Account Handlers, you will be given full training and support and the opportunity to gain relevant qualifications such as Cert CII to become a qualified Insurance professional. There will be a requirement to work every other Saturday, but only half a day from 9am to 12pm, and you have the option of getting the time back during the week or being paid time and a half.

You will also be or have:

  • An insurance background in Personal Lines (ideally).
  • Great customer service and communication skills.
  • Proven renewals and sales experience, able to retain existing customers and generate new business (ideally).
  • Excellent telephone manner with a natural sales flair.
  • Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance.
  • Experience in a similar role previously (telephone or face-to-face experience).
  • Good attention to detail and ability to multi-task, updating relevant systems and admin.
