Here at Darwin Clayton (Nottingham), we are seeking a Commercial Insurance Advisor to work both with our New Business Account Executive and colleagues in the Existing Business team.
This is a dual role supporting and developing new business opportunities to achieve and exceed our growth targets, while also offering support and administration services to existing clients and Account Executives.
This is a fantastic and rare opportunity for someone with insurance experience to break into the Commercial Broking world as part of a successful broker.
Key objectives & responsibilities will include:
- To fully and actively support the activities of the New Business Executives and the Existing Business Account Executives to support the growth of Darwin Clayton (UK) Ltd overall.
- To seek and realize cross-selling and up-selling opportunities in all dealings with your existing allocated clients.
- To provide a quality service to clients covering all aspects of their insurance arrangements, including: pre-renewal and renewal processing, claims handling, mid-term adjustments, premium collection, and client and insurer queries.
- To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, and external compliance regulations, e.g., FCA & Consumer Duty.
- To assist in team performance through regular communication with colleagues and managers to establish and raise concerns and provide solutions.
About you
As a Commercial Insurance Advisor, youβll need to have drive, enthusiasm, energy, and enjoy achieving targets while maintaining a strong client service approach.
You will also be or have:
- Previous insurance sales experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in handling and converting new business leads
- Ability to work supportively and collaboratively with colleagues
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines when required, without supervision
- Able to prioritize and organize your workload effectively
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Cert CII) or willingness to work towards these
