We’re looking for a motivated individual looking to start or progress their career within insurance as an Account Manager within the personal lines team. You'll be based at our Leeds office, moving to hybrid working once settled in. Reporting to the Team Manager, the main purpose of the role is to work on our Personal Lines book of business, ensuring our existing customers renew and offering them assistance where needed, as well as maximising opportunities to grow the customer base further.
Responsibilities
- Offer and present insurance solutions including insurance policies and other risk management solutions, with purpose to secure renewal and/or new business.
- Assist in team performance by regular communication with colleagues and manager to establish and raise concerns and provide solutions.
- Identify and pursue cross-selling, up-selling and similar opportunities.
- Utilise all leads provided to you by the company and develop new and efficient ways to increase the quote volume.
- Achieve or exceed agreed volume of Quotes/Sales/Income generated from all marketing sources including own personal prospecting activity.
- Understand client’s business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance.
- Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA.
About you
- Excellent communication and written skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Desire to constantly develop, with fantastic career progression, training & development within the role and Insurance Industry.
- Understanding of insurance or desire to start a career in.
- Customer service experience within an office environment is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g Cert CII) or desire to work towards.
- Excellent telephone manner, being able to network & build working relationships easily.
- Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance.
- Able to use initiative and can multi-task, updating relevant systems and admin.
