Commercial Account Executive – Trainsure – Location: Shipley (Hybrid once settled).
The Role:
We’re looking for a dynamic and relationship‑driven Commercial Account Executive to join our specialist Trainsure team in Shipley. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a niche and well‑established sector, supporting professional training providers with tailored and expert insurance solutions. In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of long‑standing clients while also helping to generate new business and drive ongoing growth. This is a great fit for someone with solid commercial insurance experience who enjoys a mix of client service, technical work, and business development. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll play a key part in continuing the success of the Trainsure proposition.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, driving high retention levels.
- Manage renewals proactively, delivering tailored recommendations and excellent service.
- Generate new business opportunities through cross‑selling, up‑selling, referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Present bespoke insurance and risk management solutions that align with client risks and ambitions.
- Use initiative to increase quote activity and support growth of the specialist Trainsure book.
- Gain a deep understanding of each client’s operations and sector‑specific risks to deliver meaningful advice.
- Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations and follow established processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records, including Acturis (where applicable).
About You:
You’ll be an insurance professional with solid commercial experience—someone who is confident, proactive, and able to build relationships easily. You’ll enjoy a role that blends servicing established clients with generating new business to support the team’s continued growth.
- A strong background in commercial insurance, ideally in broking, schemes, or specialist products.
- Experience handling clients and working closely with insurers.
- Underwriting knowledge (desirable), ideally within schemes or insurer environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and build trust quickly.
- A dynamic and proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Genuine passion for learning, development, and growing your expertise within a specialist sector.
- Acturis knowledge (desirable).
