The role involves working within the Financial & Professional Risk (FINPRO) division, assisting in the retention of the client portfolio and identifying new development/growth opportunities. Based from our Marlow House office in Central London (flexible with hybrid working options), you’ll look after a book of business that is made up of long-standing Professional Indemnity clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling renewals and mid-term adjustments by assessing the risk and claims information held on file, taking additional information from clients and obtaining quotations from insurers.
  • Putting forward renewal quotations to customers in a timely manner and chasing for instructions with the view of achieving optimum profitable renewal retention rate and growth within set timescales.
  • Dealing with mid-term adjustments.
  • Developing and sustaining effective relationships with clients, effectively analysing client needs and developing solutions.
  • Responding promptly to client queries and ensuring that all communications with customers and/or insurers or other business contacts are accurately recorded.
  • Attending joint visits with the Senior Account Executive.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Insurance background – handling both Retail & Wholesale clients (ideally).
  • Professional Indemnity experience (essential).
  • Experience as an Account Handler or Executive with a progressive Insurance background.
  • Experience of working with insurers and clients.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Cert CII) or currently working towards (ideally).
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner, being able to network & build working relationships easily.
  • Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance.
  • Ability to use initiative and can multi-task, updating relevant systems and admin.
  • Acturis systems knowledge & experience (ideally).
