We’re now looking for a motivated Sales Development Specialist to join us at the Jensten Group. You’ll be based at our Littlehampton office, working closely with our Account Executives and Branch Director. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in driving growth for our Professional Indemnity insurance offering. The main purpose of the role is to proactively identify, research, and engage with Commercial Insurance prospects, supporting the business through high-quality lead generation that our Account Executives will convert into new clients. Key Responsibilities
- Drive targeted generation of new business leads within Professional Indemnity and wider Commercial Insurance.
- Conduct outbound calls to prospects, qualifying leads and booking appointments for Account Executives.
- Collaborate closely with AEs and attend regular sales and pipeline meetings to align priorities and share insights.
- Use CRM (Acturis) to record all prospecting activity and maintain accurate opportunity data.
- Monitor and report on call activity and lead generation performance.
- Encourage and support colleagues in identifying potential leads for follow-up, researching renewal dates, and adding to the pipeline.
- Maintain and update opportunity pipeline to track prospecting progress and team contributions.
- Deliver weekly reports on lead generation activity, including calls made, leads generated, appointments booked, and conversion rates.
- Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, and FCA regulations.
About You
As our Sales Development Specialist, you’ll have excellent communication and written skills with a keen eye for detail. You’ll be proactive, driven, and passionate about developing your career within the insurance industry. You will also have:
- Previous experience in a sales or new business generation role (essential).
- Experience in a regulated sales environment (preferred) – insurance training will be provided.
- Insurance background is an advantage – ideally Commercial or Professional Indemnity.
- Strong customer service and sales skills.
- Excellent telephone manner and ability to build relationships quickly.
- Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance.
- Ability to use initiative and multi-task, updating relevant systems and admin.
