One Broker, part of the Jensten Group, have an exciting and rare opportunity for an individual with insurance experience to become Commercial Account Handler and develop their careers with a leading broker. While Jensten recently celebrated reaching 1,000 employees, our Colchester office has a friendly team of around 60 people. This vacancy is in our dedicated Charities team of 8 colleagues, providing policies with exclusive terms to more than 2,000 charities, not-for-profit, and voluntary organisations. Working in the charity sector is incredibly rewarding – you’ll help protect organisations that make a real difference in society.
Initially, you’ll work five days a week in our Colchester office, with the option for hybrid working once you’ve completed your probation. Free on-site parking is available for a convenient commute.
Key objectives & responsibilities will include:- Provide administration support for Account Executives in obtaining new business quotations and arranging cover
- Process mid-term adjustments and quarterly declarations
- Handle clients’ day-to-day enquiries promptly and professionally
- Negotiate and invite renewal of allocated client policies
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance
- Liaise with Claims Handlers over claims queries and reports
- Proactively manage your workflow using Acturis tasks
- Take ownership of renewals by planning ahead and supporting Executives with retention strategies
- Communicate effectively via email and phone to build strong client relationships
As an Account Handler you will have previous insurance knowledge and top Client Servicing skills. You will have strong diary management skills, be able to plan and organise effectively and work to deadlines. Being a team player is also essential as you will work closely with Executives, Account Handlers and Claims Handlers to service a range of policies.
Other skills/requirements:- Strong customer service skills gained within an insurance setting
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confident in speaking with clients over the phone to build relationships and trust
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
- CII Qualifications, or desire to work towards these (not essential)
- Experience using Acturis (advantageous)
