Our client is an amazing, established Children’s Hospice that helps families by providing specialist nursing care and emotional support in a warm and loving environment. The charity prides itself on its exciting high-profile corporate relationships and events, and the team are looking for a highly organised, driven and pro-active Corporate Partnerships and Events Executive, reporting to the Corporate Partnerships Manager, to join the team.
The role will work closely with both the Corporate Partnerships Managers to support new business development and help secure new exciting partnerships through prospect research, building relationships and supporting with application processes. Alongside this, you will support the coordination and management of key partnerships providing high quality, tailored stewardship and support across our corporate portfolio.
This is an exciting role incorporating event support and management throughout the year. Events and volunteering are a crucial part of our partnerships including corporate events, golf days and quiz nights. You will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of these events, with the support of the Corporate Partnerships Managers.
The post holder will play a key supportive role across the Corporate Partnerships team and support to the Special Events Manager and the wider High Value team where needed. This role will suit someone who has some experience of corporate fundraising and/or events.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career in corporate new business, account management and events. This is a varied role which is part of the high value team which consists of Corporate, Special Events, Major Donors and Trusts and Grants.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities- New business prospect development: Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Team to identify, research and prioritise companies to pursue and develop mutually beneficial relationships.
- New business acquisition: Support the team with applications and presentation materials to help secure new key corporate partners.
- Event management: Assisting the organisation and management of key fundraising events throughout the year; for example Golf days, Quiz nights and Corporate dinners.
- Volunteering days: Organise and manage the regular volunteer days held at the Hospice.
- Partnership support: Supporting our Corporate Partnerships Managers with delivering our main corporate partnerships.
- Partnership management: Manage a portfolio of smaller corporate partners, ensuring they have a first class experience.
- Stewardship: Supporting corporate partners with their fundraising, offering tailored stewardship.
- Communications: Creating and managing effective corporate communications to promote and thank all corporate partners.
- General team support: Be a key team member of the Corporate Partnerships team and wider IGM team.
- Work with the Corporate Partnerships team in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the corporate strategy and budget.
- Help to manage the corporate income and expenditure budget.
- Manage Raisers Edge to ensure it is kept up to date for corporate partners.
- Maintain awareness of other charitable partnerships and campaigns within the corporate sector.
- Support the wider fundraising team by attending events in the evenings and weekends.
- Substantial, demonstrable experience of corporate fundraising or event management.
- Exceptional networking skills.
- Experience of delivering results against agreed objectives, targets and timescales.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
- Excellent IT and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and out-of-hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary.
