Jenson Fisher is delighted to be partnering with an innovative, progressive and dynamic client in Dundee to recruit a Part Qualified Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional with designs on completing professional qualifications to further develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of financial responsibilities, making it ideal for someone keen to build both their technical expertise and commercial understanding. Joining a collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate financial information while gaining valuable experience across multiple aspects of the finance function.
In this role, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
- Support balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes
- Provide variance analysis and assist in producing meaningful financial commentary
- Support the year-end process and liaise with external auditors
- Assist with VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements
- Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insight and support
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies
- Support day-to-day transactional finance activities when required
This role is suited to a driven and detail-oriented individual who is actively working towards a professional accounting qualification and eager to develop their career. You will likely be either Part Qualified (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) or have completed your AAT and possess previous experience in a finance or accounting role within a fast paced environment. Naturally you will carry strong numerical and analytical skills alongside a proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
