Jenson Fisher are delighted to be retained by our client, a successful and growing SME based in Dundee, to recruit a Finance Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving business with a £10m turnover and play a pivotal role in its continued success.
As the Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, taking full ownership of the finance function and providing strategic insight to support business growth. This is a hands-on role suited to a commercially-minded finance professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to lead a small finance team.
The responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include:
- Lead the day-to-day finance operations, including month-end and year-end reporting.
- Preparation of management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
- Provide financial insight to support strategic planning and commercial decision-making.
- Manage the audit process and maintain strong internal controls.
- Oversee payroll, VAT returns, and statutory compliance.
- Work closely with operational teams to drive performance and profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
In addition, you will be:
- A fully qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA) or Qualified by Experience.
- In possession of proven experience in a similar Financial Controller role, ideally within an SME environment.
- Strong technically with a commercial mindset.
- An excellent communicator with first class stakeholder management abilities.
- Proactive with a hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
