Jenson Fisher are delighted to be once again partnering with our fast-paced, dynamic client based in the heart of Dundee to recruit a Company Accountant on a permanent, full time basis.
The Company Accountant will play a pivotal role within the business and report directly into the Directors and you will be keenly tasked with overseeing the financial operations of the company, providing strategic financial guidance, and managing a small, established finance team. Ultimately, you will be a critical partner in driving the business forward, ensuring financial stability, and maximising efficiencies at every opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
– Produce accurate and timely financial reports including monthly management accounts.
– Preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring financial performance and variances.
– Manage and mentor a small finance team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of excellence.
– Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
– Oversee cash flow and working capital management, ensuring the company's financial stability.
– Implement cost control measures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
– Manage the annual audit process and liaise with auditors as required.
– Oversee the financial systems and processes, ensuring their efficiency and effectiveness.
– Contribute to special projects and initiatives as required.
To secure this role, it is essential that you have previous experience operating in a similar role within a dynamic business and have also managed small teams in the past. You may be in possession of your full accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or similar) however consideration will also be given to those deemed Qualified by Experience.
