Jenson Fisher are pleased to be once again partnering on an exclusive basis with our client based in Perth to recruit a Payroll Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis. Working as part of a dedicated payroll team, the role of the payroll assistant is to manage payroll tasks both accurately and on time, whilst ensuring compliance with payroll legislation.

As the successful candidate you will have previous experience working in payroll - either in a stand-alone role or as part of a previous position - and you will be looking for an opportunity to demonstrate your flair within this field.

Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll on both a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Maintain employee records using financial software.
  • Calculate payroll amendments including deductions, benefits, and tax contributions alongside absences, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Reconcile payroll reports as required.
  • Assist in year-end reporting and audit preparations related to payroll activities - experience not required as full training will be provided.
  • Resolve any payroll enquiries from department managers or members of staff.
Qualifications:

To be considered it is essential that you have previous experience working on a busy payroll using financial software. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, minimising the risk of errors and the smooth running of the payroll process.
