Jenson Fisher are delighted to be partnering with a successful and growing business based in Perth to recruit a commercially focused and hands-on Financial Controller.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key appointment within the organisation and offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the business.

As Financial Controller, you will assume responsibility for the finance function, providing accurate financial information, commercial insight and strategic support to drive continued growth and performance.

In a role which will suit a qualified accountant with strong SME experience, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the day-to-day finance function, ensuring the timely and accurate production of financial information.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts, board reports and financial analysis.
  • Managing budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning processes.
  • Providing commercial insight and financial support to aid strategic business decision-making.
  • Developing and enhancing financial controls, systems and reporting processes.
  • Overseeing statutory reporting requirements and liaising with external accountants and auditors.
  • Monitoring business performance through the development and reporting of key financial and operational KPIs.
  • Supporting senior management with business planning, investment decisions and growth initiatives.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing members of the finance team.

To be successful, you will be a commercially astute and ambitious finance professional with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.

You will possess strong financial reporting, business partnering and cashflow management skills, alongside the confidence to challenge, influence and support key stakeholders across the business.

Previous experience within an SME environment is essential, as is the ability to thrive within a fast-paced and evolving organisation.
