Hours of Work: 35 Hours Per Week (hybrid, three days in Woodford office)

Our client is an amazing, established Children's Hospice that has benefitted from some exciting high-profile corporate relationships in recent years. The team are looking for a highly organised, driven and pro-active Corporate Partnerships Manager to generate significant income from companies for the hospice, both from existing and new accounts.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Head of High Value Partnerships, the post-holder will act as the lead on new business alongside account managing for some well-known corporate partners based in the City of London. They will work closely with the other fundraising managers within the High Value IGM team (special events, trusts and foundations, major donor, public fundraising) to help achieve the overall IGM and Retail target of £4.5m.

Corporate Development (new business)
  • Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships team (Manager and Executive) to lead and develop the corporate pipeline focusing on developing warm leads, pitching for Charity of the Year partnerships, and building long-term sustainable income.
  • To research and identify areas of potential corporate development within large regional companies, to include charity of the year, sponsorship, and commercial opportunities, and approach with targeted proposals and applications.
  • To help to implement an effective new business system, from research to planning to delivery to secure new business.
  • To identify, build and cultivate relationships with prospective corporate supporters through appropriate engagement, such as networking events, meetings and relevant visits to the hospice.
  • Secure sponsorship for special events including the Ball, comedy night, and corporate quiz night.
Account management
  • To develop and manage key corporate partnerships ensuring that all fundraising opportunities are maximised.
  • Providing accounts with high levels of account management and stewardship.
  • To support and develop opportunities for corporate volunteering within the existing parameters for the charity, managing expectations from both the corporate supporter as well as internal stakeholders.
  • To use every opportunity to build on existing corporate partnerships leading to increased support through direct and indirect income generation, including new business referrals.
  • To work closely with other members of the fundraising and communications teams to maximise all possible opportunities to engage with and support corporate partners.
  • To ensure all corporate partners are kept informed of the work and achievements of the Children's Hospice, through presentations, updates and invitations to events.
Key tasks
  • To co-manage the Corporate Partnerships Executive, supporting with their overall work streams and their development.
  • To work with the Head of High Value Partnerships in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the corporate strategy and budget.
  • To manage the corporate income and expenditure budget, ensuring that income targets are met in all areas.
  • To manage and ensure all partners and leads are managed within Raiser’s Edge.
  • To work closely with the wider IGM team to share fundraising information and resources and to ensure all fundraising opportunities are being maximised across the income streams.
  • To maintain awareness of other charitable partnerships and campaigns within the corporate sector.
  • Where necessary, support the wider fundraising team by attending events in the evenings and weekends.
General responsibilities
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues within the Income Generation & Marketing team and across the organisation.
  • To co-operate with all staff in maintaining good relationships with outside agencies and the general public in order to uphold the Charity's image and win increased support for its work.
  • To maintain confidentiality in all areas of work at premise.
  • To ensure that your conduct within and outside the charity does not conflict with professional expectations.
  • To take responsibility for your continuing professional development.
  • Co-operate with all staff in maintaining harmonious inter-personal relationships.
  • Attend staff meetings and training as required.
  • To ensure an awareness and observation of Fire and Health and Safety Regulations.
  • To ensure the respect, dignity and rights to privacy of clients.
  • Employees must take reasonable care, and be aware of the responsibilities placed on them under the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) and to ensure that agreed safety procedures are carried out to maintain a safe environment for employees, patients and visitors.
Experience Required
  • Substantial, demonstrable experience of corporate fundraising (or other areas of fundraising) with a significant track record of identifying prospects and soliciting and account managing 5-6 figure partnerships.
  • Proven ability to prepare and deliver compelling, confident presentations and engage a wide range of audiences in large groups and face-to-face settings.
  • Experience of delivering results against agreed objectives, targets and timescales.
  • Ability to work flexibly and out-of-hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary.
