Financial Planning Team Leader β Surrey

Our client is a prestigious, multi award winning financial planning and asset management firm, having over 220 employees, over Β£3.6 billion in client assets. They now seek an ambitious and high calibre, Chartered Financial Planner, to lead and manager a team of six Financial Planners, based in Surrey.
Within this role, you will be guiding and mentoring the junior members of your team, as well as, supporting the senior advisers. You will be able to demonstrate a background of providing high quality, goal based financial planning to clients, as well as building a client book through developing and building relationships with prospects through client referrals and professional connections.
Responsibilities:
- Leading, managing and mentoring a team of six advisers
- Providing high quality advice to clients, including goal based planning, retirement and legacy planning, protection and proactively provide an ongoing service to clients
- Cultivating and nurturing relationships with individuals, their families, business owners and trusts
- Developing and maintaining a client bank emphasising a client centric approach to financial planning
- Developing and maintaining an ongoing rapport and service to clients and professional connections in line with internal services standards and industry regulations
- Ensuring adequate personal CPD is undertaken, and records maintained in association with Compliance and SPS in place
- Ongoing knowledge of financial markets and products, including appropriate legislative changes and committed to developing your professional skillset
- Demonstrating a willingness to get involved in other projects within the business that fall within your capabilities, which may occur from time to time
- The leadership of a small group of advisers, to include ongoing supervision, coaching and oversight
The person:
- You must be currently working as a Chartered Financial Planner, with management experience
- Industry relevant knowledge of Investments, ISAβs, Bonds, pensions and Protection
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the financial services industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be capable of delivery high quality financial advice to new and existing clients.
- Be customer focused but commercially minded and having excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate with departments across the business.
- Demonstrate adept time and diary management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines, often autonomously.
- Show a commitment to making well-informed decisions even under pressure and proven desire to work with policy and process and not against
- Be willing to support and provide appropriate guidance/mentoring and advice to more junior members of the team, inside and outside of their pod responsibility
