An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious Finance Manager to join a key client of Jenson Fisher as they go through a period of continued evolution and success across a variety of operational areas. Based in the heart of Dundee, our client maintains a visible profile across numerous sectors including leisure, property and FMCG and are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to lead the accounts department within a shared service environment.
The Finance Manager will report directly into the Chief Financial Officer of the business and alongside managing a small transactional finance team, you will be tasked with delivering standard tasks including monthly management accounts and statutory reporting. In addition, the client is seeking an individual with a passion to go beyond the numbers, deliver excellent analysis and insight into business performance, trends and also drive continuous improvement and standardisation across the business.
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts for various subsidiary companies including associated commentaries and variance analysis.
- Cashflow forecasting and providing the Directors with accurate, up to date financial information in order to influence business decision making.
- Oversee transactional finance including accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control.
- Lead from the front with process improvement and making consistencies across all entities within the Shared Service environment.
- Maximise the use of software and technology within the Shared Service Centre. Xero experience would be preferred however full training will be provided.
- Any other finance related duties as required by the Board of Directors.
- The Finance Manager will be Qualified by Experience or in possession of full accounting qualification – ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent – although this is not essential to succeed with the backing of the CFO.
- This role will suit an individual who possesses a real enthusiasm for their work and also someone who possesses strong communication skills and stakeholder management expertise.
