Jenson Fisher are delighted to be partnering with our long standing client in Dundee to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the daily transactional management whilst also supporting at both month and year end reporting.
You will have experience working in a busy finance team and have a strong understanding of transactional processes and procedures. You will have experience using financial software and also be a strong user of Microsoft Excel.
On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable for two divisions of the business.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns.
- Calculating accruals and prepayments.
- Collation of time and attendance for payroll.
- Ad-hoc financial analysis and project accounting.
- Supporting at both month and year end with management accounts and statutory reporting.
