Jensen Hughes is seeking an Engineer specialising in Fire Suppression/Alarm systems design, for our growing business in the UK and Ireland. We are the largest fire consultancy in Europe with offices located in Belgium, Finland, Denmark, Italy, and the UK & Ireland. As a Fire Suppression/Alarm Design Engineer at Jensen Hughes, you will be an integral part of a dynamic technical team, working with our experienced Engineers alongside other teams you will work on the industry's leading technical projects. Responsibilities - Fire Suppression Systems
- Responsible for all aspects of the fire suppression disciplines on site including Inspections of Fire Protection, Fixed Extinguishing / Sprinkler systems.
- Production of Fire Suppression system design documents such as drawings, hydraulic calculations for all types of buildings, including but not limited to Residential, Commercial and Industrial Buildings, in accordance with BS9251, BS EN 12845, LPC rules, NFPA standards and FM Global data sheets.
- Fire safety and protection for all types of buildings, including a wide variety of occupancy types, in particular industrial facilities, commercial buildings, retail complexes, amongst others.
- Witnessing testing and commissioning of all fire suppression systems, carrying out regular site inspections during installation and for existing systems.
- Communicating with clients, architects, consultants from other disciplines, and approval authorities.
