Jensen Hughes is seeking an Engineer specialising in Fire Suppression/Alarm systems design, for our growing business in the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities
- Plan and direct engineering activities for own projects.
- Take the technical lead role on projects.
- Design fire suppression systems ā hydraulics, drawings and calculations for all building types per BS9251, BS EN 12845, LPC rules, NFPA standards and FM Global data sheets.
- Coordinate and document fire detection and alarm systems in compliance with statutory requirements, British Standards and projectāspecific fire strategies.
- Prepare and present technical reports, specifications and design notes.
- Respond to design queries, RFIs and technical clarifications.
- Undertake site visits to review installation progress against design intent.
- Support commissioning and testing activities.
- Assist in resolving nonāconformances and design changes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelorās Degree or higher in Engineering or related field.
- LPCB qualifications/BAFSA training preferred.
- Experience in code consulting and design of fire suppression/fire alarm systems in a projectādesign environment.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
- Experience with hydraulic calculation software, AutoCAD, Revit and SprinkCAD (training available).
- Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication, negotiation and team skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and drive longāterm growth of Jensen Hughes.
