As a Fire Engineering professional with Jensen Hughes, you will be an integral part of a dynamic technical team, alongside other teams including our Forensics division, on the industry's leading technical projects. You will be given early opportunity to progress rapidly. Jensen Hughes encourages all Engineers to achieve chartered status and offers help and support during the process.
Depending on level of hire, responsibilities may include:
- Supporting or leading the delivery of large and complex projects, ensuring successful outcomes for clients.
- Developing and reviewing fire safety strategies across all building types in design, construction, and operational phases.
- Contributing to or managing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling and other software tools such as CFAST, Pyrosim, and Pathfinder to provide alternative fire engineering solutions.
- Carrying out fire safety surveys, inspections, and site assessments on a variety of projects.
- Building relationships with clients and design teams, providing confident and clear technical advice.
- Mentoring, guiding, and supporting junior engineers and graduates.
- Depending on experience, contributing to business development activities and helping to grow our client base.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A background in fire engineering, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Fire Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Working towards, or already holding, Chartered Engineer status is a plus.
- Experience levels from Graduate through to Technical Director will be considered.
- Right to work in the UK.
