We have a great opportunity for Graduate Fire Engineer to join us in London and become part of our 1,500+ global employees who work together to advance the science of safety every day. As a Graduate Fire Engineer, you will be an integral part of a dynamic design team, working with our experienced Engineers you will receive constant technical support to quickly gain knowledge and experience in fire engineering projects. Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the fire engineering analysis of exciting projects involving new and existing buildings.
- You will work on a wide range of buildings such as high-rise office buildings, large retail complexes and airport developments, each providing unique challenges in developing an innovative fire engineering strategy.
- You will be tasked with analysing fire growth, means of escape, structural fire resistance and smoke control by various methods including computer modelling software such as Computational Fluid Dynamics.
- The preparation of technical reports and liaising with our clients, who include some of the largest building developers in the country, is an important part of your role.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Right to work in the UK.
- Graduated within the last 2 years with or expect to receive a Masters Degree within a Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace and or Physics discipline.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- A team-player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- A second European language is an advantage but not essential.
