Jensen Hughes has a rare and exciting opportunity for a talented Principal Fire Engineer to join our London team and help us drive excellence across our projects and deliver world-class life safety solutions to our diverse client base in 2024. This is a key hire for our ever-expanding London team. You will not only lead on some of the industry’s most exciting projects but also have a key role in shaping the future talent within our teams through mentorship and development opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Manage large and complex projects to ensure successful delivery to important clients.
- Work on a huge portfolio of projects across the UK and globally, involving all kinds of buildings.
- Proficient in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling and analysis for smoke movement.
- Develop and use other forms of Computer Modelling software such as CFAST, Pyrosim, and Pathfinder to provide alternative fire engineering solutions.
- Manage personnel in a team of engineers in addition to mentoring and training graduates.
- Client-facing role requiring relevant experience and confidence to deal with construction-related queries.
- Responsible for Business Development and finding new clients to help grow the business.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A background in fire engineering, preferably within a consultancy environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fire Engineering.
- Ideally working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.
