Lead Maintenance Engineer Multi-skilled

Lead Maintenance Engineer Based: Kettering, Northamptonshire

Jenrick are working exclusively with a Northamptonshire-based manufacturing company to recruit a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join their growing in-house team.

Working within this 24/7 production environment, you will be operating closely with the Production Manager to balance the production priorities.

Reporting to the Production Director, your role will involve:
Keeping the machines running to keep up with production requirements
Leading pre-planned and reactive maintenance and repairs
Project management to include relocating machines internally, supporting the introduction of new products onto machines, and the installing & commissioning of new machinery
Liaising with external suppliers for machine upgrades, spare parts, servicing and staff training (in-house and sending staff members out to learn from machinery manufacturers)

We are particularly keen to find someone who is used to developing procedures and taking the existing workforce on a journey towards a more pre-planned approach to maintenance, condition monitoring, etc.

Therefore someone who is computer-literate in order to understand, analyse and interpret sensor data from the machines.

Ideally multi-skilled with the ability to identify and solve mechanical faults with some electrical knowledge.

You will be working standard hours Mon-Fri (some flexibility over start-finish times) and also join the callout rota to deal with breakdowns, so a full driving licence and availability to come into their Kettering site on rare occasions is required.

This family-run business still retains a great feel and is not a corporate work environment. They are continuing to invest in new technologies and equipment including £1m+ on 3 new production machines.
