Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Nights

Location: Leicester. Salary: Entry £47,432 rising to £50,749 dependant on experience. Shifts: Monday – Friday Perm Nights.

We are looking for an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join a busy packaging plant in Leicester. Ideally you will have worked within a fast-paced manufacturing environment such as food, pharmaceutical or FMCG and are looking for your next role. You will be joining a strong team of Engineers dedicated to ensuring smooth, efficient operations across the site. Your day-to-day will include a balance of reactive and planned preventative maintenance, driving continuous improvement projects, and helping identify root causes to increase reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical fault finding and repair on production machinery
  • Quick and effective response to breakdowns
  • Lead small projects to improve plant performance
  • Conduct routine Health & Safety checks on equipment
  • Work with PLC controls and automation systems

Experience / Skills (advantageous)

  • Flow Wrappers
  • Label Printing Machines
  • Vertical Form Fill & Seal Machines
  • Bearings

  • General building maintenance

Ideal Candidate

  • Electrically focused engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Some mechanical/multi-skilled engineering experience
  • Experience in delivering improvement projects and efficiency initiatives
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (food/FMCG/pharma preferred, but not essential)
