Are you an experienced Quality Technician from a metal fabrication and/or welding background? A busy manufacturing business in Sandbach Cheshire is recruiting someone to join their team who will function as a point of contact for the business with quality advice, providing quality support to all production processes, aiming to reduce scrap and ensure all customer standards are met. Offering a salary of £31-39K dependant on experience working a permanent afternoons.
The Role:
- Provide accurate measurement support where and when required
- Conduct inspection of first and last offs
- Efficiently document and report inspection results
- Conduct regular patrol within all inspection areas including dimensional and weld testing
- Conduct inspection on purchased parts as required by the workflow
- Verify jigs and templates in line with the calibration system procedures
- Provide quality advice and guidance to shop floor operatives and managers
- Conduct internal audits
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday - 2pm - 10pm, Friday - 12pm - 6pm
Suitable Candidate:
- Experience Quality Inspector / Quality Technician
- Worked within a manufacturing environment previously
- Experience in dealing with common quality-related issues with the ability to problem solve and effectively communicate to resolve issues
- Experience with measuring arms (Faro), CMM, and general hand held equipment
- Ability to use manual and digital measurement methods
- Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Strong communicator with excellent observational skills and strong attention to detail
