Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to join a heavy manufacturing company based in Newbury? You will be responsible for handling Electrical Maintenance repairs, PPM's and replacement of plant equipment.

Role:

  • Attend to machine breakdowns and solve/diagnose any electrical failures
  • Ensuring machines are kept running smoothly and on track with the planned maintenance schedule
  • Compliance with all health & safety regulations
  • Maintain the site electrical plant and equipment to ensure that the production and waste budgets are met
  • Repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems
  • Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to keep production running efficiently

The candidate:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - ideally apprentice trained
  • 18th edition is advantageous
  • Knowledge of AC and DC drives and PLC's preferably Siemens S5 and S7
  • Experience in a heavy industry or manufacturing environments
  • Experience in electronics and instrumentation would be advantageous
  • Able to work independently and take initiative when needed
  • Strong focus on Health & Safety
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
