Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Role: Mechanical Maintenance EngineerSalary: £51,500 plus bonus (c £54,000)

Shifts: 4 on 4 off days & nights

Location: Accrington

Industry: Heavy

Pension: Employer doubles employee\’s contribution up to 10%

Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking to join a heavy manufacturing company based in Accrington? You will be responsible for handling Mechanical Maintenance repairs, PPM\’s and replacement of plant equipment. Engineers will have come from a Mechanical background, be qualified to NVQ Level 3 (apprentice trained or equivalent) and will have experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Ensuring machines are kept running smoothly and on track with the planned maintenance schedule

Compliance with all health & safety regulations

Repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems

Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to keep production running efficiently

Assist with installations, overhauls, adjustments, and replacements of mechanical systems

Candidate Profile

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent – ideally apprentice trained

Experience in a heavy industry or manufacturing environment

Able to work independently and take initiative when needed

Strong focus on Health & Safety

Apprentice trained or equivalent

Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
