Required an experienced, detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor. This is a commercially focused role, responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects from initial feasibility and tender stage through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and in full compliance with contractual obligations.
Key duties include:
- Preparing feasibility budgets, cost plans, bills of quantities and tender submissions;
- Compiling and managing tender packages;
- Monitoring project budgets, expenditure and cost forecasts;
- Measuring and valuing works on site for interim applications and final accounts;
- Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor quotations;
- Managing variations and claims;
- Maintaining accurate commercial and contractual records throughout the project lifecycle.
You will work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, and subcontractors to resolve commercial issues, support procurement planning, and ensure adherence to contract terms, industry standards, and company procedures. Regular site visits will be required to verify progress, quantities, and compliance with specifications.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environment, a strong working knowledge of JCT and/or ACE contracts, excellent numerical and negotiation skills, and proficiency with measurement and commercial software. A detailed understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 and experience working in food manufacturing or live production environments would be a distinct advantage.
