The Civil Security Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and revenue within the civil security market in the UK. This role involves developing and maintaining key relationships with clients, understanding their security needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement, security sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high quality solutions to enhance public safety.

You’re a driven and commercially astute sales professional with a strong background in security solutions, especially in the ANPR field. You build trusted relationships with key decision-makers, understand complex client needs, and translate them into tailored, high‑value solutions. Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the ANPR and civil security sector.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to understand their security requirements and challenges.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and pursue them through targeted sale efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients to demonstrate the value of our security solutions.
  • Work closely with the product team to understand the full range of security solutions offered.
  • Tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of each client, ensuring their security requirements are fully addressed.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the ANPR and civil security sector.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and threats in the UK market.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance and progress.
  • Analyse sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance sales performance.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team, product team and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, including Jenoptik's global teams.
  • Represent Jenoptik at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and promote the organisation.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior sales team members as needed.

Desired skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, security studies, or a related field and/or 5+ years of experience in sales, with a strong knowledge on law enforcement products and services in the UK, with a particular focus on ANPR, back‑office applications, and in‑vehicle solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the ANPR market, including trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • A background in law enforcement would be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security solutions clearly.
  • High market and customer orientation with a proven ability to negotiate and close deals.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other safety tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Successful security clearance and vetting is mandatory for this role.
