The Production Engineering Specialist is a vital role in ensuring our products are delivered to a high standard and in line with our customers’ requirements. The key responsibility of the Production Engineering Specialist is to ensure our product leaves the workshop in full working order. You’ll be responsible for the wiring, assembly and testing of our equipment as well as calibration and building of our radar units, playing a key role in fault-finding and ensuring the highest level of service delivery. The Production Engineering Specialist will report to the Production Manager.

About You

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and attention to detail, be able to work independently and to tight timescales while managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion for delivering high quality products, working alongside the production team in serving the needs of the engineering team and our clients, delivering a quality service.

Core Responsibilities

  • Wiring, assembly and testing of production equipment in line with project requirements.
  • Cleaning, processing, and logging of equipment returns and RMAs.
  • Providing cover for goods in/out during annual leave.
  • Calibration and building of radar units.
  • Supporting development with prototype builds.
  • Fault finding and repair of equipment.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience of mechanical assembly.
  • Wiring/soldering/crimping.
  • Electronics testing and assembly to board level.
  • Good general IT skills, including use of MS Office programs.
  • Ability to work to tight timescales and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to follow work instructions/drawings/diagrams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
