Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Responsibilities
Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for safe transport.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle is upheld at all times.
Skills
Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, particularly with flatbed lorries.
Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations on the road.
Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
