Our client is seeking to appoint a skilled and reliable Handy person/labourer to join their team to provide essential support to clients. This is a hands-on role working in clients’ homes, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance, minor adaptations, and installation of aids such as grabrails, key safes, and shower seats. The main works will involve groundworks, including concrete steps, pathways, ramps, walls, and galvanised steel handrails.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out groundworks and fit minor adaptations to meet client needs.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Order and manage materials in line with policies.
  • Ensure sites are left clean, safe, and tidy after work is completed.
  • Maintain company tools and vehicles, performing regular safety checks.
  • Support and supervise Assistant Handypersons when required.
  • Work flexibly across different locations, including occasional evenings or weekends.
  • Follow all health, safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times.

Essential Requirements:

  • Full current UK driving licence (maximum three penalty points).
  • 1+ year of handyperson experience or skilled trade experience in construction.
  • Experience in concreting, paving, or similar works.
