The predicted salary is between 12 - 16 £ per hour.
The overall purpose of the role is to take responsibility for goods receipt, storage, pick and dispatch. The Warehouse Operative should handle cargo with the utmost care and maintain quality standards. The role is based on 5 x 8.5 hour shifts from Monday to Friday each week, starting at 8am and finishing at 5pm with a one half hour unpaid break inclusive.
Main Duties:
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety and compliance.
- Demonstrate and practice behavioural safety.
- A sound understanding of company procedures and general Health and Safety requirements, especially where other members of staff or visitors are required.
- Driving plant and equipment.
- Adhering to agreed processes.
- Continually expanding knowledge of our services to provide an informed perspective to customers and colleagues.
- Creating space in the warehouse, as instructed by supervisors.
- Providing accurate and timely reporting of damaged cargo to the Customer Care team.
- Tallying of goods arriving.
- Maintaining good housekeeping of stores and quays.
- Management of arrivals by road, in consultation with the customer.
