Corporate Finance Associate Director
Manchester

70,000-£75,000 + excellent bonus + benefits

Could Manchester be your next move?

I'm working with an established and growing professional services business that is looking to hire an experienced Corporate Finance professional for its Manchester team.

This could suit someone already working in Manchester who is ready for more responsibility. It could also be a good move for someone commuting into the city from Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire or elsewhere in the North West.
Equally, if you're currently based elsewhere in the UK and have been considering a move to Manchester, this is worth a conversation.

What’s involved:
You'll be involved in a range of Corporate Finance and M&A assignments, working closely with clients and senior members of the team.
You'll take responsibility for your own workstreams and have the opportunity to take a lead on transactions as your experience allows.

The role will include:

  • Managing transactions from start through to completion
  • Working with business owners, management teams and investors
  • Preparing transaction documents and marketing materials
  • Coordinating due diligence
  • Supporting clients through negotiations
  • Financial analysis and valuations
  • Preparing pitches and supporting new business activity
  • Researching sectors and potential opportunities
  • Managing and developing junior team members
  • Building relationships with clients and professional advisers
  • Helping to identify and develop new business

There is plenty of client contact and the opportunity to become more involved in business development over time.

What we'd like:

You'll ideally be ACA, ACCA, CFQ qualified or have an equivalent qualification, with several years' experience in Corporate Finance, M&A or transaction advisory.

You'll need a good track record of completing mid-market transactions and experience across M&A, disposals or investment transactions.
You'll also have:

  • Experience working with investors, private equity or entrepreneurial businesses
  • Strong financial analysis and valuation skills
  • Good Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
  • A commercial approach and an interest in developing new relationships

The Job:

This is a role for someone who wants to take the next step rather than simply make another move.

You'll get exposure to good quality transactions, senior clients and experienced people around you, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as you progress.

And Manchester doesn't necessarily mean relocating – perhaps you're already commuting into the city? This could be a step up without changing where you live. If you're currently based elsewhere and would consider relocating for the right role, Manchester offers a strong Corporate Finance market and a good alternative to London.
