We're seeking a senior compliance leader to take ownership of food safety, health & safety and regulatory standards across a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment. This is a newly created role in a growing food business, where you'll act as the subject matter expert for compliance, ensuring full adherence to legal, regulatory and internal standards while driving a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading all food safety and H&S compliance across warehouse operations
- Ensuring full HACCP, hygiene, allergen control and BRC compliance
- Owning audit readiness (internal, external and unannounced inspections)
- Managing risk assessments, incidents and corrective actions
- Developing and delivering compliance training across teams
- Producing clear reporting and governance updates for senior leadership
- Driving a proactive, embedded safety culture across operations
What we're looking for:
- Strong background in FMCG, warehousing or logistics compliance
- Deep understanding of food safety standards (HACCP Level 4 essential)
- IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
- Experience with audits (e.g. BRC) and regulatory bodies (EHO/FSA)
- Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
- Confident communicator with a structured, detail-driven approach
