About the role: Due to business growth, a leading business in the Edmonton area is seeking a Finance Assistant within their growing accounts team. This newly created role will suit someone with 12 months plus finance/accounts work experience looking for a career move with scope! They are looking for a Finance Assistant to organize the company’s day-to-day accounting procedures. The Finance Assistant is responsible for maintaining records for all transactions, preparing weekly invoice submissions and processing reimbursements. If you have a background in Finance and knowledge of analysis and strong Excel, this could be for you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable and payable
  • Monitor daily transactions and bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile accounts with customers and clear customer balances in a timely manner, and send reminders to customers regularly
  • Review and process reimbursements
  • Issue sales invoices, credit notes, quotations and POs
  • Keep records of invoices and payments
  • Identify and address account discrepancies
  • Participate in reviewing finance-related policies and procedures
  • Deal with any queries arising from unallocated funds in conjunction with external and internal parties

Experience:

Ideally we require a minimum of 1 years UK work experience as a Finance Administrator, Finance Assistant or similar.
