We are looking for a highly organised Finance Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the operations of retail fund products for an investment company. This is an administrative, data-driven role ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, processes and detailed reporting.
The Finance Operations Manager oversees the operation of retail investment funds - ensuring accurate processing, compliance and reliable data. Daily fund activities include managing fundraising, share transactions, dividend reinvestments, client system workflows, applications, payments and ad-hoc projects. The role also ensures investment allocations, sales calculations and performance fees are correct.
Responsibilities include managing the full divestment process and producing high-quality investor documentation and reports - such as statements, valuations and periodic updates. Close collaboration with compliance and regulatory teams supports reporting, AML escalations and governance. Acting as a key point of contact across finance, investment, compliance and distribution teams - the role supports forecasts, management fees and oversight of third-party providers. Maintaining data integrity is central to the position. This includes performing reconciliations, reviewing balances, resolving discrepancies and monitoring operational logs to drive process improvements.
This role will suit someone with a strong administrative mindset who is methodical, numerate and process-driven. You are likely to have strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence working with detailed data and calculations. A highly organised approach and exceptional attention to detail are essential.
Experience working in a financial services or regulated environment is preferred, along with an interest in operational processes, systems and continuous improvement. Clear written communication skills and the ability to produce accurate documentation are necessary. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, are required. The ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities simultaneously is important. Experience with EIS and VCT products is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate with a strong operational and administrative background.
