Join Our Kitchen Leadership Team! JENKI is a fast-growing, people-first brand bringing the joy of matcha to London. As we continue to expand across the city, our Central Production Unit (CPU) in Herne Hill plays a vital role in supporting our matcha bars with high-quality, consistently prepared products. We are looking for a Kitchen Manager who is a natural leader, highly organised, and passionate about quality, efficiency, and team development.
At JENKI, every day is about creating uplifting moments whether that’s through the drinks we serve or the way we support and develop our teams behind the scenes. As Kitchen Manager, you’ll take ownership of our CPU operations, leading your team to deliver excellence while ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Central Production Unit
- Plan and manage production schedules to meet the needs of our growing store network
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure efficient stock management
- Ensure all products meet our high standards for quality, consistency, and presentation
- Uphold and monitor food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
- Train, coach, and develop your team to perform at their best
- Manage rotas and staffing to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Continuously review and improve processes to drive efficiency and reduce waste
- Support the rollout of new recipes and seasonal product launches
Who you are:
- A natural leader who thrives on building and developing high-performing teams
- Experienced in kitchen management or a similar role within a high-volume environment (5+ years preferred)
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities
- Knowledgeable in food safety and kitchen compliance standards
- Proactive, hands-on, and always ready to support your team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business
- A strong communicator with a collaborative approach
