Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience About Us JENKI is a dynamic and rapidly growing business with a diverse range of operations including our Matcha Bars, E-commerce, B2B Wholesale and Events. With a team of 60 dedicated individuals across these departments and 10+ at our head office, we pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. As we continue to grow, we recognise the need for a dedicated Head of People to lead our HR function, ensuring that our team members are supported, engaged, and empowered to grow within the company. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of People to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is pivotal in driving our people strategy, supporting our team’s growth, and ensuring a positive and inclusive workplace culture. As the Head of People, you will be responsible for leading all HR-related activities, from talent management and development to employee relations and HR compliance. You will work closely with the founders and department heads to align our people strategy with our business goals. Key Responsibilities People Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy that supports the growth and development of our diverse team across all departments. Talent Management: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to attract and retain top talent. Identify growth opportunities and career paths for employees across different departments. Employee Engagement & Culture: Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture. Implement initiatives that drive employee engagement and ensure our core values are reflected in the day-to-day operations. Employee Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and issues, providing guidance and resolution in a timely and effective manner. Mediate conflicts and ensure that all voices are heard and respected. Learning & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs to support the professional growth of our employees. Encourage a culture of continuous learning. HR Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure that all HR policies and practices comply with legal requirements and best practices. Regularly review and update employee handbooks, contracts, and other HR-related documentation. Performance Management: Lead the performance review process, working with department heads to ensure that feedback is constructive and aligned with the company’s objectives. Support managers in setting goals and developing their teams. HR Administration: Oversee HR administration, including payroll, benefits management, and employee records. Implement efficient HR systems and processes. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally within a diverse and growing company. Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance. Experience in talent management, employee relations, and performance management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels. Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach; able to balance long-term planning with day-to-day HR activities. Experience in a similar part-time role or with a flexible work arrangement is preferred.
