JENKI is a modern matcha brand, built on craft, clarity of flavour, and meaningful daily rituals. We source directly from Japanese producers and prepare every matcha fresh to order in our bars. No shortcuts. No dilution. Just exceptional matcha, made the right way. Five years in, we’re entering a new phase of growth. With an ambitious bar rollout, a growing e-commerce business, and expanding partnerships, our ambition is to define how matcha is experienced in the modern world - and to lead the category as it continues to grow.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Brand Marketing Manager to lead how JENKI comes to life as we scale, building awareness, creating desire, and driving growth across both our bars and e-commerce. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will play a central role in translating brand and marketing strategy into high-impact campaigns and experiences that connect our physical and digital worlds. With an ambitious growth plan ahead, the focus of this role is ensuring JENKI shows up with clarity, consistency, and cultural relevance; driving footfall, building brand love, and establishing us as the leading voice in matcha.
You’ll sit at the intersection of brand, creative, and commercial performance; leading the development of campaigns that spark demand and deliver results across all channels. From shaping how customers discover JENKI, to how they experience us in our bars and online - you’ll ensure every touchpoint feels considered, distinctive, and premium.
Alongside brand campaigns, you’ll also drive channel-specific activations in partnership with the Bars and E-commerce teams, ensuring we deliver both standout brand moments and effective, performance-driven activity. This is a role for someone who combines strong creative judgement with commercial instinct, and is excited by the opportunity to build a brand with real momentum, across both physical spaces and digital platforms.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Brand & Campaign Delivery
- Lead the development and execution of seasonal campaigns, launches, partnerships and brand moments ensuring the marketing calendar acts as a central planning tool.
- Create awareness-driving, culturally relevant campaigns that build desire for JENKI and drive footfall and demand.
- Translate brand strategy into clear, cohesive marketing plans and outputs.
- Ensure consistent, premium brand expression across all channels.
- Bar-Led Growth & Retail Experience
- Support the marketing strategy behind new bar openings and local market launches.
- Drive activity that builds awareness, excitement, and footfall around our physical locations.
- Ensure the in-bar experience is considered as part of the wider brand and campaign ecosystem.
- E-commerce Experience & Performance
- Partner closely with the E-commerce Manager to shape and evolve the JENKI online customer experience.
- Ensure a seamless connection between digital and in-bar journeys.
- Contribute to paid e-commerce strategy, with a focus on creative, messaging, and campaign performance.
- Support key trading moments and product storytelling across the site.
- Channel Activations
- Develop and deliver channel-specific marketing activity in partnership with Bars and E-commerce leads.
- Balance long-term brand building with short-term, performance-driven execution.
- Ensure campaigns translate effectively across each channel.
- Creative Direction & Content
- Brief and oversee creative output across campaigns, social, and brand assets.
- Collaborate with and manage internal creative resource (design, social).
- Strong judgement and creative instinct towards copywriting + art direction.
- Maintain a strong, premium tone of voice and visual standard.
- Team & Ways of Working
- Manage and nurture a high-performing team across design, social, partnerships and community.
- Build clear processes, briefs, and workflows that enable high-quality, efficient delivery.
- Bring structure and clarity to how marketing work is planned and executed.
- Partnerships & Cultural Alignment
- Support and shape brand partnerships and collaborations.
- Ensure all activity aligns with JENKI’s positioning and cultural space.
- Stay connected to relevant cultural and consumer trends.
- Commercial Performance
- Understand and track performance across key channels (bars and e-commerce).
- Use insight and data to inform decision-making and optimise output.
- Balance brand-building activity with commercial impact.
- Smart budget planning and allocation which delivers results.
WHY THIS ROLE
This is an opportunity to play a central role in shaping how JENKI grows. From launching new bars and building brand demand, to evolving our e-commerce experience and delivering standout campaigns, this role sits at the heart of how we connect with our customers. If you’re excited by building a brand with substance - and want to take ownership in a fast-moving environment - we’d love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Strong experience in a brand, marketing, or an integrated role (ideally within lifestyle, hospitality, or consumer brands).
- Strong creative judgement; a clear sense of what feels premium, considered, and on brand.
- Experience working across both brand and performance marketing, particularly within e-commerce.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Experience managing or mentoring others.
- Strong commercial awareness - understands how marketing activity drives results.
- A self-starter mindset - comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving business.
Values & Mindset
- A genuine interest in food, drink, ritual and craft.
- Calm, thoughtful and purposeful in your approach to work.
- Collaborative and generous, with a desire to help others do their best work.
- Curious and culturally aware, with an eye for quality and nuance.
- Motivated by building something meaningful over time, not chasing trends for their own sake.
WHY JOIN JENKI
- Play a key role in shaping the voice of the UK’s most exciting modern matcha brand.
- Work closely with founders and senior leaders, with real influence over brand direction.
- Balance hands-on creative work with strategic thinking and people management.
- Be part of a growing business that values quality, care and long-term thinking.
- Work in a collaborative, creative environment where ideas are valued and craftsmanship matters.

At JENKI, we believe different perspectives make brands stronger and communities richer. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and experiences. Even if you don’t meet every requirement listed, we’d still love to hear from you if this role excites you.
