Our client requires a Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is for an immediate start and the contract will run for approximately 3 months but could go on longer. The client is a privately owned business, very successful and specialises in mechanical design and manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the scope of the project and the technical requirements
- Be able to communicate with all levels of personnel
- Able to work on automation machinery
- Design robot cells, end of arm tooling, conveyors and feeders
- Work with PLC’s
- Create detailed assembly drawings of equipment
Skills and Knowledge:
- Worked in a similar role for 5 years or more
- Proficient in 3D parametric modelling software and 2D CAD
- Familiar with BS308 drafting standards
- Confident with mechanisms, pneumatic systems, electric motors and structural design
- Familiar with robot cell design
- Done the fabrication and machining process to make bespoke pieces
This role will be site based with no hybrid working so therefore people with a radius of 30 miles will be given first choice. An allowance will be paid towards your travel. This position is located in the Gainsborough area of Lincolnshire. The hourly rate will be £35 - £40 per hour on a Ltd Co basis.
