This opportunity will allow you to complete accounts for clients across a range of sectors, as well as assist with Audit and Tax to ensure you gain all round knowledge within the practice.
You will have recent experience working in an accountancy firm and either be a part or fully qualified accountant.
Duties include:
- Varied accounting role including Audit, Accounts and Tax work.
- Managing a portfolio of SME clients, mainly Limited Companies and Sole Traders.
- Preparing statutory accounts, managing a team of outsourced bookkeepers overseas. Reviewing work and ensuring files are ready for year end meetings.
- Conduct year end meetings with clients and following up with a review email.
- Assisting the Senior Auditor with Audits – transactional work on client site and other junior ad hoc tasks.
- Assisting in the busy seasons and covering other members of the team including compliance work, handling some tax queries, P11Ds and completing Personal Tax Returns.
You will have:
- A minimum of 2 years recent experience working in an accountancy practice.
- Accounting qualification part or fully completed.
- The ability to prepare and review financial and management accounts.
- Some basic audit and tax experience – ability to assist with these areas rather than manage at a senior level.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of accounting packages.
