Near Chertsey and Woking, our clients’ very established nursery are looking for a senior practitioner for a room-based Deputy Manager role - initially a maternity cover post. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of this growing provider. Working 40 hrs, the role offers a salary around £34,000 plus great benefits, onsite parking and good transport links.

Requirements- Have a minimum Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in Early Years / Childcare.
- At least 3 years experience of working within a day nursery.
- Experience of a management role, in leading and supporting teams.
- Understanding of the Ofsted Requirements and up to date knowledge of all changes in Ofsted or the Curriculum.
- A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to providing the best start in life.
- A solid understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
- Form bonds with children and their families, ensuring each child feels secure and supported.
- Team Player with excellent communication skills, the ability to give and receive feedback, and a positive, proactive approach.
- Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
