At our Big Bird Nursery in Whitburn, we are recruiting for Nursery Assistants to join our team, working as Bank Staff this is supporting within the nursery as and when we need you, covering staff holidays and sickness. This is a Zero hour contract offering great salaries offered up to £14.43 per hour depending on qualifications and experience together with great benefits. Ideally you will have experience of working or caring for the under 5s. The Big Bird Nursery is a member of the CC Nurseries Group, offering 79 places and situated in the centre of the Whitburn community. Guided by a dedicated and compassionate team, the nursery is equipped with natural resources that promote independent play and exploration. CC Nurseries also offer stimulating work settings and opportunities for additional qualifications and career advancement.

Requirements
As a Nursery Assistant (Bank Staff) you will
Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always
Work within a team to support all children and team members within your room
Understand and ensure that the requirements of the curriculum are being met
Ideally with an Early Years Qualification or with experience of working with the Under 5s.
