Our clients, a very large and busy nursery in Godalming, are looking for an experienced senior practitioner for the supernumerary Deputy Manager role. This role involves working closely with the Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting, supporting the teams within each of the rooms, and ensuring best and outstanding practice across the entire nursery. You will need to have experience at this level and working within large settings. Salary is up to £40k depending on experience, supporting a 40-hour week. There is onsite parking, together with great benefits with this lovely Provider. Requirements:

  • Have a minimum Level 3 Qualification or equivalent in Early Years / Childcare.
  • At least 3 years experience of working within a day nursery.
  • Experience of a management role, in leading and supporting teams.
  • Understanding of the Ofsted Requirements and up-to-date knowledge of all changes in Ofsted or the Curriculum.
  • A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to providing the best start in life.
  • A solid understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
  • Form bonds with children and their families, ensuring each child feels secure and supported.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills, the ability to give and receive feedback, and a positive, proactive approach.
  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources, and experiences offered to children.
