In this role, you will review and validate month-end close, conduct variances and results analysis, and consolidate financial information across multiple regions.
At Jellyfish, we are committed to fostering professional growth, with potential career paths leading to broader Group Financial Controller responsibilities, senior finance leadership roles, or specialist positions within finance transformation and group reporting. The role combines hands-on financial control with coordination, process improvement, and system enhancement activities, alongside team leadership of one direct report.
Please note that this is a full-time position initially offered on a one-year fixed-term contract basis.
Your primary responsibilities will include:

Take ownership of month-end close and reporting for two central entities, including validation of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Working Capital, ensuring delivery in line with the reporting timetable.
-
Report on Balance Sheet and Working Capital variances, providing detailed analysis of key account movements and underlying drivers.
-
Prepare and issue all month-end close and group reporting deliverables, including close trackers, reporting timetables, revenue and payroll validations, intercompany balances, period-end checks, and both in-close and post-close reporting packs covering reconciliations, flux analysis, unusual movements, and Balance Sheet status updates.
-
Lead and develop a small team (currently one direct report, an Accountant) while working closely with Regional Financial Controllers and the Group Financial Controller on group-level calculations, reporting summaries and coordination activities.
-
Act as the administrator for FloQast, overseeing user access, system configuration, and the effective operation of reconciliation and close management modules.
-
Support finance transformation initiatives and continuous improvements to deliver process standardisation and simplification.
Qualifications
-
Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or CIMA).
-
Knowledge of accounting principles and Record to Report (R2R) processes.
-
Familiarity with finance systems, ideally FloQast, Sage or NetSuite.
-
Ability to engage effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders across all levels of the organisation in a multinational, matrix-structured organisation.
-
Interest in leading and developing an accounting professional, including setting clear objectives, providing direction and support, and monitoring their progress.
-
Strong planning and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
-
When faced with a problem, you’re good at adapting strategies and plans, and evaluate different options to find practical solutions.
-
Commitment to ethical behaviour, with adherence to company policies and relevant financial regulations.
