Our client, a leader in botanical research & development, is looking for a Product Development Technologist to develop high-quality flavour/taste extraction processes for the food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, refine & scale up botanical extraction techniques to maximise yield, quality & sustainability.
- Work with R&D & product teams to create botanical formulations from concept to launch.
- Conduct hands-on trials to test & enhance extraction methods.
- Ensure extracts meet purity, potency & regulatory standards (GMP, FDA, EFSA etc).
- Work with cross-functional teams, suppliers & partners to enhance extraction processes.
Requirements:
- Experience in an R&D role within botanical extraction (ideally with focus on taste across food industry).
- Knowledge of solvent extraction, steam distillation, cold pressing or related technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving & documentation skills.
- Understanding of flavour chemistry & botanical extracts for food, beverages & nutraceuticals.
- Degree (BSc/MSc) in a related field such as Biochemistry, BioTech, Chemistry, Food Science would be of interest (but not essential).
